Open access, licence and copyright policy
Open access
This is an open access journal that provides free, immediate, and unrestricted online access to all its published content for readers around the world. Readers do not need to register or pay to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of articles.
The Central European Economic Journal provides immediate open access to its content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this licence, anyone is free to:
• Share – copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially;
• Adapt – remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially,
under the following terms:
• Attribution – users must give appropriate credit to the authors and to the original publication in the Central European Economic Journal, provide a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made. They may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests that the authors or the journal endorse them or their use;
• No additional restrictions – users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the licence permits.

Copyright and publishing rights
Authors who publish with this journal retain all copyrights and agree to make the submitted article available under the terms of the above-mentioned Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. Authors grant the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw, as the publisher of CEEJ, a non-exclusive licence to publish the article, to distribute it in electronic and print form, to deposit it in indexing databases and archives (such as Portico), and to identify itself as the original publisher. Because the licence is non-exclusive, authors keep all publishing rights and may use, share and re-publish their article without restriction, provided that the original publication in CEEJ is acknowledged.
Self-archiving
Authors may deposit any version of their article – the submitted version (preprint), the accepted manuscript or the published version – in institutional or subject repositories and on personal websites, without any embargo. The original publication in the Central European Economic Journal should be cited with its DOI.
Fees
The journal does not charge authors any article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees.
Licence and author’s declaration
The Licence, Co-Authorship Terms and Author’s Declaration should be accepted by the corresponding author on behalf of all co-authors of the manuscript submitted to the Central European Economic Journal. These terms are included in the ScholarOne system used to submit manuscripts to the CEEJ. By submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author accepts the following terms:
• Open access licence: the article will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0); the authors retain copyright and grant the publisher a non-exclusive licence to publish, as described above.
• Co-authorship terms: if the article was prepared jointly with other authors, the acceptance of these terms warrants that the corresponding author has been authorised by all co-authors to accept these terms on their behalf, and agrees to inform the co-authors of the terms of this consent.
• Author’s declaration: the manuscript is original, written by the stated author/s, has not been published before in a peer-reviewed journal (preprints and working papers are permitted and should be disclosed in the cover letter), contains no unlawful statements, does not infringe the rights of others, is subject to copyright that is vested exclusively in the author (or copyrights belonging jointly to the indicated co-authors) and free of any third party rights, and that any necessary permissions to use data and other sources have been obtained by the author/s.
Figure copyright
If your manuscript contains a figure that is not your own work, please upload an additional file in the submission system with a signed copyright statement, confirming the right to use the figure. The statement should follow the template below (available also as a Figure Copyright form):
