Criticism of the Country Competitiveness Report 2009-2010 of the World Economic Forum

The aim of the report is to help raise awareness entrepreneurs and politicians about the key factors that determine the prospects for improving a country’s competitiveness. Since 2005, the World Economic Forum has based its competitiveness analysis on the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI). It is a comprehensive index, which represents the essence of a country’s microeconomic and macroeconomic competitiveness foundations of a country’s competitiveness.
