The fiftieth anniversary of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warsaw

On 7 September 1953, a decision of the Minister of Higher Education established at the by a decision of the Minister of Higher Education, the Faculty of Political Economy was established at the University of Warsaw. This does not mean that economics did not appear within the walls of our University until the middle of the 20th century. It had already been taught at the School of Law and Administration of the Duchy of Warsaw, and then at the University of Warsaw, but at the Faculty of Law. Economic sciences were associated with the Faculty of Law until 1953.
