Submission Instructions

1. Articles for publication should be submitted via the manuscript submission system ScholarOne, available at the journal’s website: https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ceej

4. If your manuscript has more than one author, the submission must be made solely by one corresponding author, providing information on all the related authors of the manuscript in the submission system in addition to accepting co-authorship terms on behalf of all co-authors. 
5. To submit your paper, please be prepared to furnish the submission system with the following required files and information:

a. Your manuscript (main document) WITHOUT author data (in MS Word), 
b. The title page of your manuscript including: 

  • Title of the manuscript (max 15 words)
  • All authors’ names and affiliations
  • Authors’ ORCIDs, (if you don’t have your ORCID you can obtain here  https://orcid.org/signin , an ORCID is not mandatory)
  • Keywords (max. 5 keywords)
  • JEL codes (min. 1, max. 3, JEL classification of the paper should be submitted according to the classification scheme available here:  https://www.aeaweb.org/econlit/jelCodes.php?view=jel )
  • Abstract (see Formatting Instruction)
  • Acknowledgments (if any).

c. Cover Letter to the Editors: a brief justification why you chose our journal; if your manuscript is revised, extended, and changed in a minimum of 50% of the content of the version for conference publication, you should detail this in the Cover Letter for Editors. 
d. You should know how many figures, tables, and words are in your manuscript. You may add a separate file including tables and/or figures. However, you need to specify precisely where they should be located in your manuscript. We recommend this solution especially for figures with special quality requirements (e.g. high resolution maps).

Formatting Instructions

1. The papers should not have more than 40 A4 pages typed in Times New Roman font, 12 points with double space (up to 30 lines per page). The electronic versions (including tables and figures) should not exceed 5MB.
2. The abstract should contain 400 to 1500 characters (including spaces) and detail the paper’s objective, motivation, methodology, main findings, and contribution. This does not have to refer to the research literature, unless the author wishes to emphasize the contribution to a commonly acknowledged work or model.
3. The papers should be submitted in English (British English preferred).
4. Footnotes should be avoided according to the principle: if something is worth mentioning, let it be mentioned in the main text; otherwise it may not be worth to mentioning at all. If the author decides to include a note, a standard option available in the editing software applied should be used.
5. Formulae, tables and figures should be numbered continuously (each category has a separate numbering). Approximate captions for tables and figures should be indicated. You may add a separate file including tables and/or figures. However, you must specify precisely where they should be located in your manuscript. We recommend this solution especially for figures with special quality requirements (e.g., high resolution maps). Figures should be prepared as JPG objects with a resolution of a minimum of 300 dpi.
6. References to the literature should be included in the main text in compliance with APA Style.

c.  Two authors: (Jones & Smith, 2001, p. 45–51) 
d.  Three authors, first citation: (Jones, Smith & Wolff, 2001, p. 123–27) 
e.  Three authors, subsequent citations: (Jones et al., 2001, p. 123–27) 
f.   Four and more authors, all citations: (Jones et al., 2001, p. 34–78) 
g.  Institutional author: (WHO 2006, p. 96–99)

7. The reference list should be compiled alphabetically (and chronologically, starting with the earliest publication of a given author). References should be prepared in compliance with APA Style.

Issues to be assessed in the review

In order to prepare the article in the best possible way, pay attention to the issues of your manuscript subject to the reviewers’ assessment. The form of original research paper is presented below:

  1. Abstract: Is abstract structured in accordance with the requirements of the Journal?
  2. Motivation and contribution: Does the paper contain new and significant information that improve or build on existing research? What is theoretical, empirical and/or practical contribution of the paper?
  3. Literature: Does the paper present an adequate understanding of the relevant literature and refer to literature sources in the right way? 
  4. Methodology: Is the paper’s idea built on an appropriate conceptual background? Is the research design and methods employed appropriate? 
  5. Findings: Are the results presented in a clear way, highlighting the novelty in the context of existing research? 
  6. Quality of Communication: Is the paper written in a clear way for readers and the used terminology is appropriate?
